Co-curricular Activities
Committed to nurturing and developing students into responsible global citizens
As-Siraat promotes a diverse range of co-curricular activities. Students are encouraged to learn new skills, take responsibility, develop leadership qualities, participate in competitions and excel in sporting activities. Various academic and non-academic events are carried out throughout the school year. Educational and recreational trips are also conducted multiple times a year.
An annual day event marks the end of an academic session where students are lauded for their efforts throughout the year. A grand ceremony is held to distribute prizes and certificates amongst outstanding students. Students also present tableaus, speeches and other performances for audience.
Sports day is held annually in which students participate enthusiastically. Diverse and interesting competitions are held such as: Basket race, Sack race, Spoon race, Rabbit race, Ring race, Obstacles race, Relay race, Tug of war and Kabaddi.
Environment week is held every year in April. Students participate different activities such as plantation drive in school & in local areas, cleanliness drive, awareness rally in local area, poster making etc.
To battle the menace of plastic bags, As Siraat Public School launched a no-plastic campaign. Reusable cloth bags that are more reliable, eco-friendly and safe to use were introduced. Cloth bags have been distributed to students and staff in order to discourage and reduce the usage of plastic bags.
An academic competition week is held every year in which students participate in different contests. Some of these include: Qirat & Naat competition, Islamic quiz, Poster making, Speeches (English & Urdu), Creative writing (English & Urdu), Spellathon, Science exhibition etc.
Science exhibition is the most exciting and innovative event of the Academic Competition Week. Students make science projects and display them with confidence, showcasing their talents.
A ceremony is held yearly on 6th September to commemorate Defence Day of Pakistan. Students present tableaus and patriotic songs to pay respect to Pakistan’s heroes and martyrs. Speeches are also conducted by students to commemorate events related to these heroes.
On the occasion of Independence Day, every year students present enthusing speeches, skits and patriotic songs as a tribute to our beloved land Pakistan.
Nursery students are kept busy in a variety of hands-on activities on a regular basis to encourage learning through play and enhance their curiosity and creativity. Students of nursery class also have fun day trips to local zoo and park.
A recreational trip is arranged once every year for students and staff. They are taken to different cities, parks, zoo, picnic spots etc.
An educational trip is arranged once every year for senior students to enhance their learning. They are taken to different factories, mills or industries to see their workings.
Sports matches are held monthly amongst students. These include mathes of cricket, football, badminton etc.
Elections are conducted at start of each session to select a Head Girl and Head Boy. Students vote to select their representative.
